<Jeep Wave>
Sending a hello from Indiana. My wife and I bought our JKU late 2012, and have been growing both the Jeep and our wheeling experience ever since. We have a great club of Jeepers about 45 minutes away in Indianapolis, the Indy Jeep Junkies. If someone would have told me about the way of life that owning a Jeep would become when we entered the Jeep world a little over a year ago, I'd have shrugged it off as crazy talk! Before having an active club, I started modding our Jeep "Beast" for 33" tires, and Upper Peninsula winter fun, campouts, fishing, and daily driving. Since then the bug has hit hard, and its an ever evolving process!
We've wheeled the UP, been out to the very tip of the Keewanaw peninsula by trail, hit up Badlands here in Indiana a little over a half a dozen times last year, did every trail except #17 at Redbird SRA, and regularly hang out with our club at offroad and social events. We're doing the Drummond Island Jamboree this year, more Redbird SRA and Badlands trips this year, and potentially a trip to Windrock Park in TN. If we can swing the time and $, I'm going to head back to Rausch Creek as I missed a few opportunities to hit that park before moving back to Indiana while working in MD!
Next year will be a trip out west, and the Rubicon is on my immediate must run list. A stop over in CO and Utah would be in order for a long road trip of course!
To facilitate that end, I have a garage full of newer components awaiting install (pictured below). As my wheeling experience has grown, so does Beast, and may that trend never cease! With the next install (first week of April is when I'm planning on taking off 2 days near a weekend to put it all on), I figured it was an opportune time to sign up here, share what I've learned, and learn from all those who've gone before me.
Happy wheeling!
