Hi everyone. Soon to be a new, first time Jeep owner here. Ordered a 2 door Sport in Sunset Orange about 5 weeks ago so here's hoping I've reached the halfway point.
I've been driving Chevy Trackers for the last 13 years and they've served me well. Not doing any rock crawling up here, just need a tough vehicle for pulling our dirtbikes to events and into properties that are usually pretty rutted up and sometimes sloppy. I liked the Tracker because of it's body on frame chassis and 4wd. Since Chevy doesn't sell these anymore, the Wrangler got my attention right away since it still has the one thing I still look for that alot of others no longer offer, a proper frame. Couple of things I won't miss on the Tracker are the rear drum brakes and the horsepower, or lack of. Stepping up from 127hp to 285 is going to be a treat, no turbo kits in my future!
Some of the things I'm looking at right away are the Peterson LED headlights, some proper hood latches, trailer hitch, Pioneer AVH-X2700BS and some headliners. I'm sure there's a few other things I'm going to convince myself are necessary but since my wife may read this I'll call it quits here.
Until the dealer calls with good news, I'll be soaking up as much information I can find here.
Cheers to all,
John
