Warn Zeon 12S Platinum

So I helped getting someone out yesterday from a deep mud hole. As you can see/hear in the video once I got all the weight my winch slowed down. Figured this would happen, but on the remote that shows the battery health dropped all the way down. Is this always going to happen? I'm going to get Genesis dual battery and TD2 once it comes out to up the rpm. Is this all I need or is there something I'm missing?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Truthfully I've never been in a situation with that much mud. But I would contact Warn first and see what they say. Also, have a parts store do a load test on your battery as well just to see its condition.

Throttle up to raise engine speed to help power the battery.

That's what I figured and will try next time.

Jeep has less than 8000 miles. Still could be bad battery, just don't really see it.

I'm sure you'll eventually be looking for a tuner for your build. Just FYI that the AEV Procal has a function for adjustable high idle for heavy winching or any other heavy electrical draw type of stuff. Not sure if other tuners do this.

I have pulled some stuff before where I needed to up the RPM's. I am sure that is all that is needed here.

Yea I'm waiting for the TD2 so I can control my lockers and swaybar.

That's what I'm hoping, I did get a hold of warn and they said I need at minimum of 650 cca with that winch. Still trying to see what the stock one does to make sure I'm good.

I think all winch manufacturers recommend 650. I think most everyone here runs their winch on a stock battery with no issues.
