Drop brackets are great way to correct the geometry of your front control arms after installing a lift on a Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator truck. Just like long arms, they will allow your arms to sit closer to stock again and that will help to improve ride comfort and handling and without having to do any drilling, cutting or welding on the frame. The best part about them is, they're affordable and in this video, you'll see just how easy it is to install a set made by EVO Manufacturing.

I installed a set of these on my JT with the Clayton lift. I love that it has retained that OEM feeling when driving over bumps and the like

I always had a bad impression of drop brackets; when I first saw them on JK's, they were a 2-piece design, made of thin steel, the only bracing support were the spacers, they hung too low, and what I saw in the failures I looked at, they took a lot of hits (from hanging too low or poor line choosing).

The AEV lift I bought for the JLU had 1piece drop brackets like the EVO units, they were stout, ran Moab a couple of times no issues, kept many of the stock suspension components and rode great until the EVO long-arm/coil over wild hair set in. lol

As you mentioned, for someone like me who doesn't get off-road as much as I'd like, these are a great option to use the stock control arms and get the suspension back where it should be for a good drive.

The JT mod list is modified daily

Definitely a great affordable option for the daily driver and occasional wheeler. I like that the EVO ones don't look like they'd get hung up on much if at all either really.

Glad to hear you've been liking them on your Jeep!

Oh yeah, the early 2-piece design that AEV came out with was far from stellar and I did see more than a few break on the trail. The newer 1-piece design that EVO and others have now are much better and for the cost, a great option.

And really, I think that's most people who own a Jeep. :)

I got a set of these for mine, I've been going back and forth on having them installed when I have the lift installed or not. I think that I will have them installed also after watching the video.

Same here have a set of evo’s drop brackets sitting in the garage and been debating on installing them in the wife’s rig. Might go ahead and do it.

Great video!! I had the original 2 piece AEV drop brackets on my JK and can vouch for their effectiveness. Noticeable decline in road manners when I took the off. The new 1 piece design looks a lot beefier!

Great job as always! I also have the early AEV 2 pice Brackets and no issues since nearly 60k mls. Off-road and on German Autobahn with over 100mls/h with my Setup.
But when i install a JKS Liftkit on my Buddy’s JKU, I thought that the one piece Brackets look and feels more beefy to me. But no reason to change my old Brackets- when they someday made Problems I surely take the one pice Brackets from JKS or Evo.

Great video! I've got the AEV brackets installed on my JT with the 2.5 Dualsport lift and it makes a huge difference. I have a set of Rancho Geo brackets laying in the garage for my JL, which has a Mopar lift. It doesn't work with the Mopar lower control arms that came with the lift (longer) so a buddy gave me a set of stock Rubicon lower control arms to use with it. That'll get the caster angle right. So that's up next.

I love the results, though. The JT drives and handles better than any Jeep I've had before it. So I'm confident the brackets will help on the JL.

Thanks again for a great video!

I would. They definitely provide a better ride.
I like the one piece design 👍
Me too. It's the only way I would run them as I've seen more than my fair share of the 2-piece ones break.

Honestly, even for rock crawling, I feel that they're beefy enough to take some abuse and the ride improvement is worth it.

Thanks for doing this video Eddie and Cindy! I’ll be installing my EVO drop brackets very soon on my Gladiator.
Awesome! Hope the video helps out :)
Another great video, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it :)
I know a red Gladiator that could benefit from those! 😜

Great video, thanks for posting!
LOL - they're definitely worth it for the ride and handling improvements 👍

The 1-piece design really is a lot beefier and I have personally seen them take some real abuse off road.

Glad you liked the video and that you too have experienced how much these brackets help.

Why don't they work with the Mopar lower control arms?

Hopefully within the next couple months I'll be able to make the 2000 mile trip and get Jeremy to do the install and regear
