Caught the Bug
So I was stuck in Vegas with just enough work to keep me from going home on Friday, but not enough to fill my whole Saturday.
So luckily my good friend Chris at Warmachines702 was able to schedule an impromptu run out to Logandale.
Being on opposite sides of the valley we decided to meet up on the 15 if we could. So I jumped in the rental and went jeep hunting.
As luck would have it, no sooner than passing downtown I found 2012jkfn702, FoxC and fellow warmachiner Frankie.
Quick stop out at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for gas and to pick up a few others...
We stopped by the shop Larry Nickell (from Crawl Offroad and Las Vegas 4x4 & Offroad) to grab Larry, his wife Wendy, Nicole Johnson and the owner of Readylift.
Airing down.
Moving out.
First up was Broncho Falls.
Chris coming down.
Then FoxC
Wendy found a nice waterfall to stretch out her suspension.
Winding our way through the canyon.
Nicole leading the way to a little waterfall.
Her Jeep "Roxanne" on 40" Nittos had no trouble getting up.
Wendy was up next.
How about a little perspective on the climb? Of course she made it up no problem.
The RZR wasn't so lucky. A quick tug cleared the trail and everyone was up and moving again.
The heat in the Valley of Fire was getting unbearable at this point so we decided to call it a day.
Working our way out.
Frankie getting his LJ a little twisted.
At this point between spotting and finding our way home I didn't take many more photos on the trail with my phone. Hopefully Chris has some on his camera.
All on all it was a great little run! A perfect way to spend a few hours with some good friends while I'm away from home.
Knuckles was jealous though...I see a road trip in her near future.
