Hey gang, I just installed my new CB and figured I would share how I mounted it. I got a black piece of 80/20 and put two aluminum plates on either end and rested it on top of the roll cage. After I got it set in place, I drilled and tapped two holes in the cage and dropped two bolts in. Mounting the CB to the 80/20 was cake, just used a nut slid into the channel and a bolt though the CB bracket.
Overall I'm quite pleased with it, I'll be able to add more to it the 80/20 if need be and the CB is solid while driving. I can see a very small bit of the bottom of the CB in my rear view mirror, but it doesn't really obstruct anything. The freedom panels are slightly more difficult to put on and take off, but it's nothing unmanageable.
