Found this website a while back and it's really fun to play around with. It shows the true sizes of countries relative to each other when you move them around and overlay them on each other. The reason the countries look so much bigger is due to the Mercarter projection effect that distorts country size the further it gets from the equator - look it up - it gets confusing. Anyhoo, this is a cool site. I used it first time to see how big Greenland is compared to the USA - surprising
