Transfer case noise?

I have a 2009 jk with the 6speed. I'll write more once I'm home on my laptop but what could this noise be? It randomly happens, I've never been able to do it on purpose. Randomly happens while in gear coasting, under power, and coasting in neutral up to a stop.

You may have to turn the volume up but you can hear the clunking noise in the back ground.

Front drive shaft is out and front end is 100% gutted other than the axle seals...no carrier/axle shaft or anything currently installed. When everything was in place, the noise was worse and occurred more frequently while driving.
