TJ wheel adaptors

Going to be putting 5x5 lug wheels on the TJ. I want to go with 1.25" spacers but I want to say there was a issue with the lugs being to long on the rear or something of that nature.

Tried searching but couldn't find my exact question.

Do 1.25" adapters require cutting of wheel lugs on TJ's or JK's?
 
1.25 probably will require cutting the studs I think you would be better off with 1.5 it's what I had on my JK and didn't have to cut the wheel studs
 
I ordered 1.5" adapters from iron rock offroad to fit the JK stocks that RockyJk gave me for my TJ. I talk to someone from the company because I heard the same thing. They said with the 1.5 I shouldn't have any problems with it on the stock dana 35.
 
Thanks for the input. I jumped on spidertrax's website and they have labeled a 5x4.5 -5x5 kit a JK Conversion Kit and they come in 1.25". I called Spidertrax they shed some light on the lug issue. JK studs are longer and require 1.5" without cutting. TJ are 1.25" without cutting. Could have probably just trusted there website but I like the warm and fuzzy of a solid answer.
