Third brake light

Has anyone installed the genRight third brake lite? I have i want to install but tossed the instructions by mistake:banghead:.
If anyone can let me know if it is straight forward or do I have to do anything special to get them to work. Thanks.
 
Pretty easy install. I wired my into the passenger brake light so I would have the license plate light as well. the instructions were not much anyways.
I'll be back at the house on sunday. If I can find the instructions I'll email them to you if you still need it. Just let me know.

Thanks for the reply. As long as all I have to do is wire it up to the existing
Brake lite I can handle that.

I wired it as you mentioned and when I was done I noticed the light I tapped into isn't as bright as the other one. So I went out there and traced the brake light wire for the stock third brake light and tapped into that. Here are a couple picks. Sorry to cold to let it focus.

Didnt notice any difference, but just checked and they look equal to me...:thinking:
 
Only one thing though...your license plate light should still be on when you apply the brake. In the first pick above your license plate light is not on ...or? As you mentioned, brake light lead to the genright third brake light and then the license plate light to the running tail light lead.
