Thermostst Housing Sealant Needed??

Aloha, I am about ready to change my Thermostat and Housing on my 2012 JK and was wondering if a sealant is needed? I have read the replacement how-to located in the write-ups but did not see any mention of a sealant. I know the housing has an o-ring gasket but thats it. Thanks

no sealant needed, there should be a rubber gasket with the housing. if the housing does not have the gasket, make sure to buy one.
