NEW PARTS

Trying to figure if I want to leave the logo bare aluminum, color match, or paint a different color.

Im planing on doing a full video write up of the install and then "testing" them at Adventure Park in Tennessee first of next month.

yeah the are aluminum.

very similar to the savy brand on the TJ/LJ ive seen the savys take massive hits and just scratch. I know teraflex runs these on several of their own rigs. Time will tell. I beat the hell out of my rig so look for an honest report :thumb:

Are those really aluminum? Not sure how well they will hold up.

I'm sure it just depends on the grade and thickness of the aluminum. RK (and formally EVO with their envy links) makes aluminum control arms and haven't heard complaints about them

The TeraFlex rocker guards look great but, you do need to be careful on the rocks with them as this is what they'll look like after a moderate wheeling trip...

This was a light hit but still, you can see how it deformed the rocker guard...

I should note, these were NOT hard hits.

I ran these on my rig for a couple of years, they are still one of my favorite looking sliders. I think it has something to do with them looking a bit like the boatside sliders I ran on my TJ that i loved. They are exceptionally functional as a step, have really high ground clearance because of how they attach and do provide a measurable level of expected performance from an aluminum slider. The photos that Wayoflife provided are basically what you can expect with average use. My sliders looked a lot worse than those when I upgraded to the EVO sliders. Here is an old shot of my jeep when they were looking sharp before the future battles they faced.

This is what I would be afraid of. Once that kind of damage occurs those are toast. I will stick with steel.

Yeah i look forward to seeing how they hold up.

I play in the rocks alot but my rubi rails rarely made contact with anything.
2 door might have something to do with that. :thumb:
