Synthetic winch line care. Anything I need to know?

So as of yesterday I installed a 10k winch with synthetic line. I am very unfamiliar with synthetic line and if there is anything special to care of it. Any tips help. Thanks guys.

I wash the rope if it's really dirty. Other than that, I've only noticed light corrosion on the drum itself. Pretty easy to take care of.

Ok cool thanks. I didn't know if there was an oil based product to put on it to condition it. Do you recommend investing in a cover?

Yes, a cover is a good idea imo.

Thanks guys. I will definitely be investing in a winch cover shortly. Don't get too much snow in central california but sun we get a lot of.
