Sway bar disconnect

I want to install my quick disconnects but they seem too long. When I had my lift installed it looks like there is a spacer for the sway bar. Can I remove the spacer to install my disconnects.

The sway bar should rotate. But don't rotate it too much other wise with excessive body roll you could actually flip it iver in itself.

There is nothing in that picture to remove. Your disconnects should be adjustable.

that does look like spacers. if they are, I would remove them and install the proper disconnects - but I wonder why they used spacers instead of longer disconnects :thinking:
don't tighten anything until you have it sitting on the ground and the sway bar is sitting at the same angle it is now - you don't want to have it too high and have it flip up ..makes sense??

There is nothing in that picture to remove. Your disconnects should be adjustable.

Now that I look at the full photo, there may be some type of spacer there. Did they do that because they didn't give you adjustable arms?

The lift did not come with new sway bar connecting rods. The stock ones are short so I figured this was the ticket to keeping the cost down.

After looking at the Rock Krawler sway bar disconnect it seems to be a bit longer than the stock ones. This will raise the sway bar more to a parallel position than what it is now. Will this cause the jeep to feel unstable?:thinking:

That spacer looks like the Spacer from the Daystar 1.75" Budget boost Lift. However, the spacer is suppose to be used on the rear stabalizer attachment to the frame (the kit only comes with one set of spacers and they are for the rear).

I believe RK are adjustable, are they all the way in? When I installed my lift 3.5" I moved the stock rears to the front and the new longer ones went to the rear, I'll double check the position when it's daylight.

I'm running the RK's with a 1 3/4 leveling kit. Adjusted to the shortest setting they are about an 1 1/2 longer that stock. This brought my swaybar's angle up a couple inches but I've yet to feel any excess roll as it rides the the same. I think you will like them.

These most definitely can be removed.

They did have instructions but as most jeep instructions go, it took an internet connection to give my buddy and I a better perspective. Don't know if it was the lack of pictures or the beer but doing it without the Internet would have been harder. Just doing discos would be quick and painless.
