Steering issues

Ok so Im new to this forum (and any Jeep forum for that matter, so bare with me) but not so new to the Jeep life as Ive owned my Jeep for about 6 years now. I recently got a bunch of suspension work done to my Jeep including 3 inch teraflex springs, Fox dual resiviour shocks, synergy manufacturing drag link flip, synergy chromoly tie rod, upper and lower ball joints, jks tracbar front and jks adjustable sway bar links. Before I installed all new parts my Jeep was lifted 2.5 inch teraflex with fox performance shocks, front tracbar, and 35 inch Toyo RTs. I started experiencing death wobble so I replaced everything with the parts listed above and now I am experiencing bump steer like crazy which was never an issue before installing said parts! Did they raise the track bar at the axle to go along with the drag link flip? Any pics?

Looks like they raised the steering stabilizer but not the track bar? :thinking:
It appears that a raised track bar mount is in your future.

Wow ok so yea I had no idea about the whole raised trac bar bracket, you would think the “jeep specialist” that installed everything would’ve mentioned something about that and yes it is a stock pitman arm. Will those two parts fix my issues? They had also mentioned something about geometry correction brackets too will these do me any good? ... I think I need to find a new “Jeep specialist”

I second this!

There is more knowledge here than in just about any shop anywhere, and by people without an agenda to see you what they make the most $$ on.

Also, unlike many of the other forums I tried and left, bad ideas get called out for what they are.

So leave your pitman arm stock and raise the end of your track bar where it attaches to the axle. Also if you can swing it get adjustable front lower control arms instead of the geometry correction brackets, those hang down off the factory frame mounts and good arms with Johnny joints like Currie, Core, or Evo are better. Call Bubba at Exodus Jeeps he is a lot smarter than me about all this and will get you what you need, not what he makes the most on

I too learned that some of these so-called "Jeep specialists" are full of shit. Some are outright liars and will sell you anything to make a buck - ever hear the Grade 8 bolt replacement kit sell job? :rolleyes2:

Like others said - this is the place for the unvarnished truth. And Bricks right on regarding Exodus Jeeps - Bubba's the shit, not full of shit. :thumb:

Awesome I really appreciate all the info from everyone! So Im going to go ahead and order the teraflex front trackbar bracket and lower control arms as well as new tires because Im sick of these issues.. Hopefully this fixes my issue and Ill definitely let you all know once its installed.

Since you started with Synergy you should stick to that honestly, there is nothing wrong with it

Most everyone on here will recommend against Terraflex, and for many documented reasons.
Synergy or JKS make good raised track bar brackets.

Evo, Core, and others make the right lower control arms. Ditch the drop brackets.

Call Exodus and Bubba will get you what you need, and by the way, everything I have gotten from him is cheaper than I could find it anywhere else.

Ok well that’s good to know I guess, although Ive never really heard anything too bad about teraflex until reading that thread. The only teraflex parts Im running right now are rear tracbar bracket and coil springs. Ive been running the teraflex coil springs for about 3 years now and haven’t had any problems with them other than them sagging a little after 3 years of abuse. Now I understand teraflex isnt the highest quality out there but I dont think they are the lowest quality either? but then again I dont really have much to compare it to other than stock springs.

Are you going to install this yourself? If you are when you raise your track bar it will shift your axle a little bit and you’ll have to re-center your steering wheel with your drag link but that’s all you should need to do to finish up

Yea man well you gotta learn/start somewhere, which is what brought me here.. Like I said in my original post Im new to the forums but not so new to the “Jeeplife”. Ive owned my Jeep for over 6 years, put 140k miles on it (Im the first owner) and I do all the maintenance and MOST of the other work myself, unless welding (c-gussets) or some drilling (drag link flip) is involved Ill let a professional take care of it. Out of the 6 years it was lifted for 3 years and never had a problem until recently when I noticed my ball joints were shot. So at the same time I purchased some other parts and had a shop install since it’s cold out in NY and drilling was involved. Clearly I was missing a few pieces to the puzzle and I just felt like the professional I took it too should have at least told me that before giving me my Jeep back. 🤷🏻*♂️
