Starting small….

I have a stock 20 JTR with 62k miles on it. Wobbles have started. I’ve rotated the tires and checked the alignment. Wobble is still there, is it time to start some upgrades on the steering? I can’t do a lot of the work myself, my neck is fused c4-c7. So I’ll have to pay someone. What do you think guys and gals?

Little bit better description of the "wobbling" you're describing would help. I assume you mean in the steering wheel - have you had the tires re-balanced? When is the wobbling happening? Is the Jeep lifted?

Something has either come loose or worn out. Easiest way to diagnose is to have the Jeep running, have some in the drivers seat move the steering back and forth quickly (not turning the wheels), while you look at the front end components. This is the easiest way to spot any lateral movement in the track bar joints or play in the steering (draglink/tierod).

You can also jack up each tire at a time approximately 1” and use a pry bar or something similar to pry up on the tire and look for any vertical play in the balljoints. You can also push/pull on the tire to check the unit bearing for any play.

A speed related wobble is most likely a balance issue.

Yeah, I watched Ed’s video on it. I’ll try it later when my wife is home. Thanks!

Sorry, checked out alignment and tires. Then I got underneath, tie rod and drag link are very loose. Not sure if I want to replace with stock or upgrade to something else.

If you have the cash, this is a good time to upgrade to HD bars. Synergy, EVO or check out the RockJock kit Eddie and Cindy installed. I’d suggest you get all the bars from the same company and one that has a lifetime warranty on the bars themselves- the ends are a wear item so they usually have a short warranty.

This ^ (y)

If wheel toe in/out is no good this can be a cause also. I would check after you verify all joints good to go.
