Spring Break in Moab

I'm packing up the family and heading to Moab for spring break. This will be my first time going jeeping there. We went 5 years ago and treked around arches national park. But this time we want to experience the off road trails and views/scenery. Most of my off road experience is in the sand and mud, so this will be a new experience for me.

We're going to be there for 5 days, we're renting a condo in moab with a garage so there is a place for my hard top and doors if the weather is good enough, I hope so. I bought Wells' trail book and that has been a great help for planning. I plan on doing a few easy and moderate trails, so far I have on my list of trails off the top of my head Gemini Bridges, Long Canyon, Shafer Trail, Hurrah Pass, Hidden Canyon , Top of the World and maybe Fins and Things, Wells rates Fins and Things as difficult but it looks like a great trail and alot of slick rock that looks like fun and I don't want to pass it up.

If, for a first timer trip, there are any don't miss trails that you would recommend, let me know. We're going to be there March 30th through April 4th.

Thanks!

My family and a couple co workers will be down there at the same time. We are also first timers in Moab. We are planning on running Fins and things, Sevenmile rim and top of the world. Maybe see ya down there?

I had planned for that same time. Now I may be moving then. I really need a fun adventure though so just maybe I can still make it.

Benny and Webe,
If you are going to be there the same time we definitely should do a trail or two together, It would be nice not to be alone.

The family and I will be in Moab at the end if March. We are first timers so if anyone wants to run some trails that would be good. Not looking at doing anything crazy or to difficult.

just posted this on another Moab post,

Moab can be pretty dusty and depending on what type of air filter you have, I would recommend a pre-filter if you're running a CAI, I also recommend taking an extra air filter to have a nice clean one for the drive home.

I have a CAI with an oil filter but for Moab I run the non-oil version with a pre-filter, makes it easier to remove and clean each night. When it's time to go home I put the still clean oil filter back in and no worries.

Thanks, I'll bring a new one with me.

We will be there sometime on the 30th and leave on the 5th.

Do you know which day you plan on running Fins and Things or Top of the World.
I penciled in on my "schedule" to run fins and Things on Tuesday April 1st and Top of the World on Wednesday the 2nd. If it works out to run one with ya, that would be fun. We're definitely flexible on the schedule. It's getting close, I'm getting pretty excited to get there.

If all goes well we will be there on the 2nd of April. I'd love to do some group trails.

I will be going for EJS. Going to run Fins and Seven Mile Rim. I hear they are not too bad and offer awesome scenery.
