Spare Axles-Storage and Transport

I have the stock axles out of my 44s and recently went on a trip long enough that I took a lot of tools and spares. The spare axles are a pain to store in the garage and to put in the truck bed (with topper). Anyone have ideas on the some kind of containers for the axles? The rear are the more difficult, of course, with the flanges. The fronts might fit in some ABS pipe. Ideas?

A "coffin" or crate...

Build a cheap shitty box (or a fancy one) out of pallet planks or plywood, add a few dividers with notches for the axle shafts and other parts/fluids to ride in. Either bungee the axles in place or design it to pinch them in place when the lid is shut so the whole thing doesn't self destruct when a 30 pound axle gets to bouncing around. Screw a few flip up handles on the ends and a few D rings to secure it down and secure other items to it.

Like an old military rifle crate
