So we just had the remnants of a tropical storm here and during the monsoon I became aware that my soft top is leaking quite badly. Water is dripping in from the top of the driver side front door between the door and the roof. It is also happening on the passenger side but not nearly as much. This has happened before but never this bad, I placed some towels along door and on the floor and they were soaked in like 20-30 minutes. Now bear with me if I'm not explaining this correctly, but it looks like the sponge like stripping that lines the plastic bars the soft top lays on is whats causing this. Its becoming saturated enough that the water is dripping out of it and into the interior. I have a '12 JKU and it also seems to be working its way to the back. The padding on the crossbar was also pretty wet. I was trying my best to look at it to see if anything was out of place but nothing popped out. Any quick fixes for this? Thanks

If I'm picturing your problem correctly then I had the same issue. It's actually pretty common according to some of the other forums I looked at. I went to home depot and bought 1" weatherstripping and stuck it to the door surrounds generously where I figured it needed it. My Jeep has been in some hard rains and I've yet to see another drop of water inside. I think the total cost of the weatherstripping was around $5 maybe. I'll look for the roll to post up a pic but it was pretty easy to find. I might have used 1/8 of the whole roll.
Yeh one of my friends actually is having same problem so I figured it was just something that eventually happens. Thanks for input

Had the same issue. Here is my fix after talking with Bestop. Now I can submerge this underwater without a drip. Important is where I added weather stripping to the door surrounds!!!
Oh nice. Thanks for pics. This was really bothering especially since its very inconsistent. It just rained again today a lot and I had no water coming in. But just to be safe I'll experiment with doing something like this. Thanks again
