I just stopped by the ranger station, it is closed due to the fire. It's apparently 88 percent contained and the ranger I spoke with thinks it may open in a week or so. Maybe we can try after the Mojave run.

The Mojave run is the New Year run Eddie posted, if you're not already listed the trip is full. You could get on the waiting list in case people cancel.

I don’t know but you probably could call the Big Bear Discovery Center and get the answer.

Still breaking in the new gears so can't do it this weekend... Holcomb is a fun trail, so hopefully someone takes you up on it.
