So, my husband has a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport that he adores!

So, there is alot of rust on it. He has only had it since 2018 and he has cut out and bonded pieces of metal on the bottom where his foot almost went through the floor. The carpet saved him!

We took it to a body shop and they said he should buy another one that has a good body and put his engine in it, as the engire is solid. But he really loves this Jeep.

Just asking, has anybody had the entire bottom of a Jeep like this rebuilt? Is that even possible? I am hoping it is.

😊Thanks

LOL - as a matter of fact, it's really common on older Jeeps like CJ's but it's also a lot easier to repair a tub that sits on a frame than a unibody like like your husband's XJ. I mean, you can do it kinda but you might be better off starting over with a cleaner body.

Lots of work. I put floor boards in my step sons Jeep a year or two ago. Only did it because the “frame” was still solid. Doubt I’d do it again
