Side bolster seat foam tear

So I have had bad luck with both JKs I have owned with the passenger side bottom seat cushion outside bolster foam tearing off. My wife always complains about how uncomfortable the seat is and it's mostly because she has no outside bottom support and she is always leaning into the door. Below is what the seat foam looks like and I just wanted to see is anyone has any ideas on how to fix it?

Idk if I just dump a bunch of glue in there if the foam will hold or maybe if I get some seat covers if it will hold it in place better??

I would take it to an upholsterer. I have had issues with antique furniture and they always have an answer that I was pleased with. Good luck!

Get some better handles to get your ass in and out of the seat without sliding on the bolster.

Well I picked up some of this spray adhesive sprayed it on both sides of the foam and stuck it back together. It's not perfect but it seems to be holding the foam together and giveing more suport for the time being. Only time will tell to see how well that works but it's a solution for now

Yeah. I was noticing the same, but my '08 doesn't have the slide-and-tip feature anyway.

We don't have any kids and I have the rear seats removed anyways so right now it doesn't serve any purpose for me but later down the road it might. So if I do anything with the seats it will probably be getting something like katzkin leather or something Idk. But for the time being that adhesive should hold the foam and be better than it was at least

Same here. I rarely run the rear seats. I'm considering doing leather covers or new seats somewhere down the line but haven't decided yet. LeatherSeats.com has a nice customizable selection... Pricy if you go with their top of the line, but looks like good quality.
