So I’m getting ready to install a RC 2.5” with the 2.2 shocks. On a 2016 JK 4 door sport. I understand after researching this it comes with some pretty opinionated reviews and I have read all that. I got this lift for 40$ and shocks for 20$ slightly used. I only have one reason for posting. I want to know what I’m in store for or need in addition too below. Please hold off on bashing this lift I’ve read several negative reviews. I’m already committed bought it. If there is a thread already in this answering my questions please send me.

I’m planning on installing 4 springs 4 shocks 4 brake extenders.

RC web site site says need exhaust mod kit? 35$ Is that true no one on Youtube mentioned it.

Another says need a trac arm type bracket to center axle? It bolts up to axle with u bolt and two other holes. Required for centering axle? Bare with me I’m not a pro, pretty sure that’s what he called it. Is that necessary?

Do I need and adjustable trac arm on front, Is this required?

Thank you much, I’ve been off the app for a couple years it was super helpful last time I had an axle issue.

12+ JK/JKU with the 3.6 you need the exhaust mod.
You can buy their track bar relocation bracket an just use your factory trac bar.

Sounds like I need to purchase

Brake line extenders
Exhaust mod
Trac bar bracket

Hopefully no more surprises. Worst part is I got lift used and a whole bunch of extra shit I think came off his Jeep that I don’t need. I have been sorting through all this getting ready.

Thanks again.

Post pictures of the extra stuff so some one can tell you what it most likely is. Maybe you have the track bar relocation bracket and some other useful components.

Depending on the length of the shocks you may not need extended brake lines. I know on my 14 with a 2 5" lift they were not required. Measure the front/rear shocks to be sure. But if they're less than 25" extended you most likely wont need them.
