Rock Krawler tie rod end

Hello, I just installed a set of RK tie rod ends on my old tie rod. The castle nuts are way below the cotter pin hole. Has anyone experienced this and any suggestions would be appreciated. My old TRE’s are in good shape, thinking of cleaning and reinstalling.

That doesn't look right. Since you have Synergy why didn't you go with this Synergy replacement?

Just a synergy sticker, the TR is an old Chromoly Rock Krawler unit. thanks

Looks like Rock Krawler fucked up on the design. If you're dead set on running it anyways, I would run a cotter pin long enough where you could still bend the cotter pin so the pin stays in the castle nut valleys. The objective is to keep the nut from loosening.

Yeah, I think I’m just going to pick up some moog ends and be done with it. Looks too sketchy. Lol

I was given these TREs by a fellow jeeper who said they were for my application. I think he’s confused about them. I’ve replaced these 3 times since I’ve had the tie rod and none have fit like this. Thanks
