Rock Crawler for Toddlers

So we picked up this little crawler at Walmart for 5 bucks on sale the other day. Didn't expect much, but the thing is fricken awesome. I took my 3 year old son camping a couple of days ago and he loved it. He could pick up golfball-sized rocks and build his own trail. And the adults had just as much fun watching him. This thing crawls slow, has amazing articulation, powered by 2 AAA batteries. It also has dual stingers, 4wd, longarm suspension, and coil overs. This thing crawls over just about anything. The only issue we ran into is that on steeper climbs (like 60 degrees or greater), it would fall backward. So tonight, we took it apart to paint it, went through the junk hardware drawer and selectively placed 'weights' in spots we feel will help it not tip. You can even tell from the photos, his diffs already have scrape marks from hitting rocks. It's a great toy for toddlers and adults. Hoping to fix it up with a better paint job after the glue dries on the weights.

Body back on the crawler and weights seemed to have helped out the tipping problem a ton.

Boy RC can get expensive fast too! Just like any other hobby. Looks cool though.

The one I bought is called Explore One Crawler or Adventure Wheels Krawler. I found it under 2 different names online. And clearly NOT made in the USA, hopefully it won't break anytime soon.
