The Build:

February 2016
Here is how she started. Bone stock 2008 Rubicon. Leaked a bit of oil, but ran smooth. Perfect build platform.
02.jpg

And the mods began.. I have always been a fan of the clean tailgate and planned to carry my spare on board. Cargo space wasn't a concern for me.
03.jpg

Popped a sunshade in that someone gave me.
04.jpg

April 2016
I came across a really good deal on some Trail ready beadlocks, but I wanted the bolts black.
05.jpg

Insert obligatory grill guard mod.
06.jpg

Rock rings back from powdercoating. Love the color match.
07.jpg

My first bumper back from powder coat, and winch ready to go on.
08.jpg

Picking up delivery of my Rock Krawler Xfactor 3.5" lift
09.jpg

Installed with some Bilstein 5100s and looking good.
10.jpg

Lift was in, but tires were not so looking a bit awkward on factory tires and lifted.
11.jpg

Tires and wheels assembled and ready to bolt on. Came out great.
12.jpg

Bumper mounted up.
13.jpg

The 'Finished' look haha - didn't last long.
14.jpg

Knocked out the rear cross memeber to fit Crawler Conceptz rear bumper
15.jpg

High and tight. Haven't hit it on anything yet. That muffler though....
16.jpg

A little fender trimming was in order.
17.jpg

Came out looking pretty clean.
18.jpg

May 2016
After one run with lots of flexing, a new front drive shaft was in order as the OEM one was bashing into the oil pan pretty good.
19.jpg

More posts to follow :)

Continued:

May 2016
Double carden drive shaft installed.
20.jpg

Was able to test out the flex on a local event that had an RTI ramp.
22.jpg

June 2016
Offroad heroes fast back top. I love this thing.
23.jpg

After a mirror removal incident, I swapped to quick disconnect mirrors. I like the look but vision is horrible.
24.jpg

September 2016
I wanted a backup cam so I was able to mount on cleanly to the plate.
25.jpg

Came out nice, and clean.
26.jpg

Hooked it up to my new Trail Dash 2. Comes on automatically in reverse, or if I toggle it on the screen.
27.jpg

Pulled the trigger on some of the new KC Hilites Gracity Pro headlights. I really like them.
28.jpg

The prancing moose :)
29.jpg

November 2016
My garage was turning to a disaster of tools everywhere need to fix the Jeep, so had to get some tool storage.
30.jpg

A trip down to the Oregon Sand Dunes resulted into some big injurys. Didn't see a ledge and went over way to fast.
Broken axle shaft and....
31.jpg

A really really bent front axle. Guess it is ProRock time.
32.jpg

But hey, whats a road trip to the USA with out a few extra parts to lug home with a broken Jeep :)
33.jpg

While waiting for a new front axle, I bolted on the AFE Exhaust system. I ened up not liking the last section and took it off and dump the exhaust infront of the axle.
34.jpg

Finally was able to get my onboard tire carrier from Excessive Industries.
35.jpg

Looks really sharp in the back.
36.jpg

Fits a 37" spare nicely.
37.jpg

December 2016
Can't belive I didn't own a Highlift lol!
38.jpg

Found a wicked sale price on a pair of these.. the start of a project that turned out to take way more time then I thought... more later on.
39.jpg

January 2017
Look what arrived! ProRock 44 - yay! back on the road and wheelin!

Grabbed a Dynatrac cover for the rear diff.
41.jpg

February 2017
Hmm, the 5 gallon tank fits.. after some cutting :0
42.jpg

Some rear lighting. It really helps on the very dusty back roads we have, turning it on during the day so the person behind me can see me.
43.jpg

Holy wiring.... ughhhhh
44.jpg

These KC Hilites Cyclones are very bringht. I installed 8 of them around the vehicle.
45.jpg

Another shot of the cyclones underneath.
46.jpg

Pretty good lighting.
47.jpg

April 2017
Some of the EVO skid plates arrived.
48.jpg

I decided to bed liner the rear of the tub before I installed the air system.
49.jpg

More goodies from EVO - boatsides. The peanuts though... still cleaning them from the garage.
50.jpg

I threw a couple cubes in my front bumper fog light location.
51.jpg

Hey look, I finished the air install. It is mounted ontop of a 10" Kenwood sub enclosure.
52.jpg

I mounted the relays in a water right container on the back side.
53.jpg

I decided to try out the Redneck Ram setup, so far it has worked really well for the cost.
54.jpg

Evo mini liners installed.
55.jpg

Decided to mount some red logos on all the skids.. why not ?
56.jpg

Bumper reinstalled, with a new fairlead and Prolink.. bumper wasn't on long before I took it off again.
57.jpg

After installing the boatsides the Cyclones had to be moved. So they are magnetically attached inside the holes.
58.jpg

May 2017
The finished shot.
59.jpg

So my winch sparked, cracked, and seized. Warn really stepped up and helped me out getting a replacement. Love this winch!

New winch installed, and KC Hilites 10" Flex bar. Really like bar.
61.jpg

Skids installed too... they don't look like this anymore lol.
62.jpg

I managed to fit a ton of gear in here. These Rightline gear bags are handy for a little extra cargo space.
63.jpg

Trimmed the front fenders up a little higher, but I keep ripping them off so need to get some steel ones if Evo ever releases them.
64.jpg

June 2017
I threw on some Evo mudflaps to try to reduce my chances of being pulled over for too much tire being exposed.
65.jpg

So I got tired of the Poison Spyder bumper. It was really heavy, and I lost a foot of garage space with it. I am trying out this Evo pro bumper. Love it so far. I am thinking of keeping it raw steel and powder coating it in clear.
66.jpg

And here we are June 2017

Follow you on IG, really like how you've done everything man. Keep enjoying that thing in good health!

Nice build. I have the same tire carrier, I still really like it. In fact, we have quite a few of the same parts.

Beautiful Jeep so far. You've done a lot. I hope you don't mind, but I removed the Instagram links as it's a violation of the forum rules. If you have any questions about it, please contact admin.

oops my bad - thanks for the edit.

Awesome Rig man.
I think I've driven by you a couple of times near Harrison.
I'm out there all the time.
That new EVO bumper looks sick, I've been eyeing that up for awhile now.

Love the Jeep, what size (Length) is your double row LED Light Bar above the license plate? Also, how did you install it? Could you post a pic of the mount? I'm thinking of doing something similar for mine rather than mounting it to the bumper. I already have the PSC Tramp Stamp License Plate holder on mine w/ a small red led brake light above.

It is significantly lighter and closer to the body then the PS Brawler. I am just waiting on the skid plate for it and the EVO fairlead then I will powder coat it. Really thinking about going with clear over bare steel, but then I will want to redo all my other parts :(

I am using a 10" bar on the back. To be quite honest, I am thinking about taking it off and replacing it with a pair of KC Hilites Flex Dual lights so that I can angle them off to the sides more.

lights3.jpg

The bar, even though it is a combo bar, just is too focused straight back. The light off my 2 cyclones is more then sufficient for reversing for what the low light camera needs to see, and I think having more sideways light will be useful.

lights1.jpg

The bar is attached to a mount that is being the plate, but I had to modify with an additional bracket to hold a light bar.

Ups dropped of a few bits and pieces last night.

I am really struggling with what color to powdercoat this bumper.

1) Clear on raw steal looks great but worried how it will hold up. Then have to redo other pieces to ma match.

2) Match it to the body wuth red.

3) The semi gloss black texture I have been using.

4) a grey/ silver to sort of look like raw. Also means powdercoating other stuff to match.
