Rigid A pillar lights; what model/pattern?

Looking to get a set of rigid lights for my a pillar. Should I get the dually or D2 lights and what pattern would be best for this location? Looking for something to light up good infront and a good amount to the sides as well.

Thanks,
Sean

If you're looking for a wide angle, you want to go with floods. Dually's are 4 bulbs and D2 are 6. Pretty close on dimensions but the D2's are a bit more in price.

I'm running the flood Dually's in the same location.

I plan on getting new headlights. HID or LED and a set of ipf driving lights on my soon to be aev front bumper. Would flood pattern a pillar lights be good with that set up or should I be looking at a different pattern?

Thanks,
Sean

The only problem with floods on the a pilar is the spill you get off the hood. For wide coverage I would run floods on the front bumper

Should work. Floods are the best for that location. Just watch your angle on those driving lights if you're going to run them on the street/highway, don't want to blind anyone.

Gotcha, Thanks for the help. Ill be sure to keep the lights from peoples eyes

Would adjusting floods up a little help with the spill off the hood?

That would put the main focus of the light up off the ground. Depends what you want to see. Some guys use them for more of a side light from up there but ideally the a pilar position is better for spots to see farther ahead and floods would go in front of the hood for a closer wide coverage.

Yea thats true. I will have to do some thinking. Maybe spots or driving pattern will be best up there

I have the D2 driving pattern on my a pillar. I love them, they are extremely bright.

I have Driving pattern d2's and they are fantastic. I have truck-lites now and a 10" rigid bar on the way for the bumper.

Here are some pics I took with the stock headlamps, and my D2's
