Rear Pinion Angle

Hey guys. Started installing my Clayton 2.5” overland plus lift kit on my Rubicon Gladiator today.

I finished the back half and I’ll do the front tomorrow, I measured out all 4 rear control arms per the documentation for the 2.5” lift but after I got it all back on the ground the pinion angle seems way off.

Could this be because I haven’t lifted the front yet so the transfer case is skewed? Or possibly my sloped driveway?

Just curious if I need to lengthen the upper control arms to adjust the drive shave / pinion approach angle or if I could expect it to level out when I’m done tomorrow.

Thoughts?

Your stock driveshaft has rzeppa joints. Your pinion will have been sitting parallel to the output shaft from the factory. Now that you are sitting taller, your driveshaft will be sitting at an increased angle. As in, everything looks fine to me.
