I have a 08 Rubicon with factory E-locker.I need to replace the magnet that the wires go to as my wires broke.Is their a write up of this procedure or is it difficult to do?I have the part on the way.Gears were just replaced .I don't want to tow it70 miles to shop if I can do it.
It's not that hard to do but you will want to make sure that you put everything back EXACTLY the way it came out. You will also need to make sure that the lip of the plunger on the locker switch is ON the dog clutch as opposed to having the clutch pushing on top of its head. Torque settings can be found here:
