Rausch creek 1/12/14

Since Hinrich and I couldn't be out west for the Kick Off run we decided to have our own little kick off run! So at 8 am I was at Jim's house and we were heading up to Rausch for a day of wheeling!

Today Jim decided to really out his beadlocks to the test and run at 0 psi :crazy:


Once we fixed Jim's valve stem we were in our way!


We decided to hit up 1c (black trail) right away.



Then Jim decided he wanted to go ice skating


Then his jeep wanted to as well......


I think his jeep needs to shed a few pounds :cheesey:.......




After winching him out of the mess above we were on our way again. We decided to run Top for Ta-ta's trail

After stopping for lunch on "power line" we were back on our way



We ended up down at 10-a where it was REALLY icy and muddy




We saw where 10-a dumped us and we got brave for a min or two and decided to run the rock garden (red). It was short lived but fun!






Someone got mad at their leaf spring


It's was so off camber jim couldn't climb out of his jeep



We found a good flex spot along the way




Oh look! A big pond to ice skate on!

Well I got stuck too cause I had to go and open my big mouth and laugh at Jim. The big hole behind my jeep is where I was


And this is how thick the ice was that was holding me back! It was at least 6" think in most spots


And as tradition would have it we ended on the comp course

Great job explaining the day Steve, even better with the commentary on the pics. Deff need to do this again soon. Mad I didn't get pics of you in that hole, it was epic that you made it out.

i had 3.73 in my '11. since you have the 3.6 motor your set up is basically the same. you will be fine with the 35's and the 3.21's. you will notice the power drop when accelerating and you will notice a little less torque as well. other then that it is bearable.

whenever you can make it up im sure there will be a trip planned. also if you cant find a trailer there are a lot of easier trails that way you get a hang of the park. if your up for it to there are a bunch of trails that we all need a spot thru so there will always be someone to make sure you dont flop or break anything

Come with us on the 25th. We will be running blacks as our hardest trails and a stock jk can handle them with a good spotter (dr madness) and good driving. And we may even break off into 2 groups, not sure yet. :thinking:
