Rattling

There's a rattling sound coming from above the muffler...any ideas?

There's a big ass heat shield right above the muffler mine rattled like crazy with the new sub I installed so I ripped it off... But I don't have a muffler back there anymore.

Heat shield or hanger for parking brake lines, assuming stock muffler? Could also be trapped rocks/gravel in the area.

Ha, my heat shield has just started to rattle within the past few weeks. It's most noticeable when I slam the rear doors. I just have to crawl under there one day when I get 20 minutes to myself.

Tools in the back hidden storage compartment? Just speaking from experience.

It's the heat shield. Just took a look at it. Need to get larger washers or some JB weld.
