Proximity sensor

Does anyone have a D.E.I. 508D hooked up to their factory alarm? I’ve read that it could work. I had a proximity sensor in my ’97 TJ & loved it! Just want to keep the honest people honest. Thanks

I do and even though it works, I wouldn't purchase it again or anything aftermarket car security especially Viper products . This isn't the reason why I wouldn't buy it again but these are the experience I had with it. A bug can fly into your Jeep and can cause the sensors to go off and that is having my sensors turn way down. I don't have it to alarm when you walk close to the Jeep but only if you reach inside the cab. Also leaving any mobile device in your Jeep will cause it to chirp and annoy your neighbors.

Idk much about doing your own but I got a compustar car starter and a dual zone proximity sensor and alarm from bestbuy. For a good price. About 400.
