Power Steering ????

So my PS pump seems to have died. I will replace it in a week on payday but I am wondering if I will dmg the steering box or anything else if I drive it without pump working? It wouldn't be alot of driving just running the kids around errand stuff. What say you?


PS. How many post I need to make to not be a fresh catch?
 
Additional question? What are the parts between the steering column and steer box called? It looks like 2 U style joints and a long bar between the 2. They seem in pretty bad shape and I'm hoping replacing them along with the new PS pump might help with the wandering. Just wondering what they are called so I can start calling some local junkyards. Junkyard Jeepin FTW!!!
