Sweet LJ!!

Yeah, its a pretty good deal, but its kind rough around the edges. The tranfer case and brakes scare the hell out me. I used 4Hi briefly and it made a whiring noise (like a zip tie on the driveshaft). It had me wondering if we'd make it home but it turned out to be just that banana plant wrapped up I'm the front shaft. LOL!
I'm going to see if I can get the owner into the membership. He clearly takes pride in the rig and has some good mods.

Today we got out to hunt down some old WWII Japanese coastal defense guns. For being nearly seventy years old and battered by constant rain and salty air from the ocean, the guns were in incredible condition. I tried going into one of the ammo bunkers but was met by a swarm of bats. My wife dropped the camera and laughed at me.

The trail getting in and out of the site was barely wide enough for the jeep in some places. It got pretty wild after the rain and I had to use 4Lo coming back down.

The view from the road was pretty incredible, but the 400ft vertical drop on the edge made it fun to navigate.

On the way out we came across Rumors Inc. Well no shit..this is where it all starts!

On Sunday before turning the LJ back into the hotel Melissa and I made our way down to the Southwest coast of Pohnpei to a site called Nan Madol. There isn't much written history on the area and the internet doesn't offer much better. The structures are absolutely amazing and one can only guess as to how the people nearly 2200years ago cut these massive stones into such perfect shapes let alone how they were stacked so perfectly. Bear in mind this site covers nearly 150acres and consist of 92+ structures not including the path into the site. :thumb:

Good deal. I have a few things to fix on my rig before I go back out. Pancake rock beat me up a little.

Let me know if you need help, I've got a little time tomorrow and Thursday. I saw the pictures. It looked fun, but I had no idea it would chew you up that bad. :naw:

Nah it was that bad. I sheared a bolt off the rear sway bar link and blew the boot on my front driveshaft. Too much flex.
