Pioneer Cabin Tree fell over

Waited too long to get out to see this tree. Several stories online detailing the rain causing it to topple. Not really surprising I guess being that half of the trunk got cut out of it.
Still, it's one more iconic attraction that's no longer there.

Definitely a bummer. I do believe there is more than one tree that you can drive through. I remember seeing signs at multiple locations the last time I drove down hwy 1

No, but according to the stories I read it wasn't doing all that great and with all of the rain & wind it just keeled over.
Surprising that it's lasted this long with so much of it cut away....
