I have read on other forums of guys doing that. They seemed to like it. According to them scratches from brush wouldnt peel it off, but might leave some light marks (easy to touch up).
Personaly, I hate the stuff. I put it on my grill for a while. I didnt have any problems with it other than it stained easily from the mud. Hit it with the preasure washer a few times and it didnt peel or anything. When I went to remove it, once I worked the edges a little, it came right off no problem.
If it didnt stain so easy I would have kept it. My Jeep doesnt get washed much, but when it does I want it to look good. So the dip had to go.
My X always said dipping was a nasty habbit anyways.......
