Oregon Getaways?

Anybody out there from the Portland area that knows of any getaway trails? I took the jeep out to central Oregon just south of lake billy chinook last week and had a blast. We drove in on some service roads on BLM land and found a spot to camp and fish right on crooked river. However, I'm looking for something a little closer to Portland and a little more muddy and wet. Suggestions for some good trails in Oregon that can involve camping and fishing?

Sand Lake South of Tillamook. Then I remember of hearing of a fun place south of Astoria. Don't recall the name of it though. :twocents: My new bride & I will be in the Dundee hills over Memorial weekend doing a Jeepin wine tour.

Tillamook state forest. Brown's camp. Lots of trails and forest service roads. Www.oohva.com should help you out a little on how and where exactly to go.
