Opinion on this steering stabilizer set up

First off I know a Jk does not need anything special and stock set up is fine. My question is on my 2010 JKU Rubicon has had everything done to it since it was about a month old and now has 30k miles on it. It has a 2.5 TeraFlex kit on it and I don't remember the brand of the steering stabilizer kit. I just installed new shocks and notice my stabilizer was loose and has been rubbing. I am not sure the correct location to tighten it back down to? Thanks for the help.

Looks like you need to rotate it so that its on top of the tie rod

I would loosen the tie rod clamp mount and rotate it up to nearly parallel. Then cycle the steering lock to lock and make sure it clears everything and does not bottom out or limit turning.

The clamps on your track bar are not in the correct position. The split in the sleeve goes through the opening in the clamp
Edit, will the bolts of the tie rod bracket hit your diff cover if you rotate it up?

I am going to go work on it today. When I was taking the picture's I was thinking the same thing as you that it might hit. I looked at some pictures online of installs and my just seem to be different than most and the shock body is very close to the rod. If you look close in the picture's you can see the bolts and even the shock has rubbed a groove into the rod.

I did not have a chance to do it. Two hours of yard work turned it a whole day job. I did go through some old pictures and the shock was rotated up. Not sure why it moved or if I been hitting it on the trails?

They can move. Just tighten the crap out of it when you get it back into the spot you want it.

that's U-bolts, they'll move as there's really not enough contact surface to keep it in place and you can't really torque them down to much.

this would hold better, RH makes them for stock and aftermarket tie rods so order the correct one:

^^^ switched to that also. But then just took my stabilizer off and tossed it somewhere. Have a couple of them laying around. Really didn't notice any difference
