Our first time off-roading in our newish JK :D :D We joined up with an FJ crew and had a blast at Greenridge State Park :D :D It was pretty hilarious...about a dozen FJ's and just ONE Jeep :D Fun times!

Did you have to help any of the fj's out of the mud or snow:cheesy: glad you had a good time:thumb:

Nope :clap2: There was one guy had a really tough time on one of the trecks and then came out and told us (when the JK made it up the first time)... "it was all the ammo in the back that caused me to slip" :drum:

He must of been carrying cannon balls if it was that heavy:cheesy:

lol Probably :D We talked to a couple of owners and they told us the FJ's are like 5700 pounds -- with all the gear some of them have (not including the ammo lol) they had probably more than 1500+ lbs on us

Pssssst.....us JK unlimited folks tip the scales in excess of 5k....not including gear. I think you'd be surprised how heavy your two-door is!

On topic: I enjoying wheeling in mixed company. Fun to see how different rigs require different driving styles and different strengths/weaknesses.

Sent from a a few tin cans and some string.

yeah...I think stock ours is 4100 pounds. With the bumpers and a couple of the minor upgrades its definitely more. But it was certainly surprising how much smaller our 2-door looked in comparison to the FJ. Those things just looked monstrous in comparison. We haven't seen it next to the unlimited yet--ours probably looks pretty stumpy :evil snicker:

Greenridge is open, kinda

We stopped at the ranger station and paid our $5 for the shooting range. After a couple of hours of that, we headed down to the old juvie center via the dirt roads. The official OHV trail is closed but there are plenty of other interesting roads, especially with several inches of ice and snow on them!

was gonna ask how many couldnt make it when you prolly had no issues at all. I can say my 2dr is around 5300 or so now lol so its deff not light at all.

I'm almost tempted to take it to the recycling place (they weight station) and see :D It would be fun to know for sure!

About the trip itself, to be honest I was a bit anxious b/c we were the only Jeep... a failed treck would definitely have made for alot of talk among the FJs :D

Someday ill get my cousion out with his FJ since he did get the offroad package or whatever it is. I have a truck scale next to my work which I sneak on after they close for the day. I would be interested to see what yours weighs stock tho.

Since reading the last few replies my curiosity has got the better of me........I'm headed over to 595 Truck Stop to weigh my rig......for $10.00 I can't beat it......any guesses what it'll weigh in at?

P.S.: The curb weight for a base model 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport is 4,075 lbs.

hmm, I'd say about 5300 lbs! Is this like the Price is Right? Closest guess without going over? What do I win?
