Ok... this is a short video, no soundtrack after the intro. Just trail sounds... the joy of listening to two Jeep Gladiators on one of Montana's hardest natural trails. (This is a non-maintained forest service road- no man made stuff like an offroad park). The video has no narration, just clips from about a 1.5 mile section leaving McKelvey Lake. Both on Gladiators are on 37's. Mine is the orange one. I hope this is the sort of content that is what you guys want in this section?

I've often wondered what the trail systems are like in Montana. Are there a lot of these style trails there? My only comparable is what is in Colorado, Imogene, Engineer Pass, 21 Road, Billings canyon , etc.

Well being as I’m in California this is how our surface streets are before you ever get near the trail.😵‍💫
But seriously, that looked like a nice leisurely stroll through the woods. And there ain’t nothing wrong with that!👍

I wish my Mojave made as few noises out in the trail as those two Jeeps.🤷‍♂️

Not a lot... but there are several that I would say are a 6 or 7 rated trail. We have a lot of 3-5 rated trails... and 1000's of miles of gravel and dirt roads. If a trail is rated higher than that it is from danger- being on the edge of a cliff and that sort of thing. Most of the hardest trails are only able to be driven from mid July to early Sept. The snow pack is too deep and in some cases the forest service keeps the road closed until then. I have been on Imogene... I would say that it is a 3 with any danger from cliff driving being the only thing to make it higher... Most of our trails are in that range...or slightly rougher than that.

Yes... and admitfully this was all coming downhill with gravity on our side. Going up does seem to make more noise. Montana doesn't have a Fordyce Creek trail... at least not as a natural trail. We do have parks and private places to push your Jeeps on man made stuff. Probably the one thing that makes most of our trail the most different is the lack of others people on them during the mid week... you won't see anyone you didn't bring with you for 3 days...
