Looking to buy my first Jeep. I won’t do much off roading, primarily just a 3rd fun vehicle and a spring/summer/fall everyday driver. Hope to take the top off in March and put it back on in November.
I’ve found a 1990 Wrangler, V6, manual, 151k miles. It sat for a cpl Years needing a transmission repair. Repair was finally made, seems to run out well, seats have signs of mold and it needs a paint job. After market rims (5) and like new BF Goodrich tires. Like any 28 year old vehicle, the projects to upgrade it seem endless.
Can anybody tell me where I should focus to look for issues? Are there one or two things you wish you had paid more attention to when you bought your first? Like everybody, I don’t want to overlook something and get stuck with a lemon.
My trusted mechanic will go over it for me but can’t see it until mid next week. I’m a little worried the Jeep will be gone by then.
