Found theses new Rigid Industries A-series lights today and thought it would make a real nice rock light only question is, how would you wire it up to make it one switch. they come in pairs. i would get 4 sets to make 8 all around the jeep.

Depends on the beam distance and brightness at 4 ft plus away

There $70-$90 in price and in my opinion way to expensive for rock lights. If I break a $10 one that I have now I am fine with replacing it but a $90 one is hard to stomach.

As for wiring you would do it like any other light. Relay and/or fuse it and be good to go.

Wire them up as you would any light, to relay, (+), (-). The leg or (wire) coming off the relay to switch jumper together and just home run 1 wire to switch. If that make sense! :idontknow:

They are pricey but, they shouldn't break for nothing. At least, that's what RI tries to promote in all their products. I'd really like to see what kind of light they actually put out.

I have one as a rear cargo area dome light I installed in my two door.
It's bright but not sure from frame to ground distance bright!! Doesn't seem as wide of a pattern as even the Wally World afterburners

From the pic it looks like a flush mount. You may be able to mount these so there is much less chance of breaking them. I'm going to take a look at these. :thumb:

if they are anything like the vision x tantrums i would not order them. I had the tantrums and they burnt out fast and not that bright

Hmmm, that's what I was afraid of. The cheap Walmart lights put out a really nice and useful spread and I'd be hard pressed to give that up.

Agreed. I am no fan of the Vision X. Very dim on the trail and don't last that long.

are just 2 enough? or would a pair in the rear be a good idea also?

For the most part, 2 up front are all you really need. Of course, the more you have the better. On Moby, we have 2 up front, 2 in the middle and one in the back. On Rubicat, we just have 2 up front.

Yeah 2 up front would be the best place to start. Its better to see where your going then where you've been.
