New Jeep = loose TB

So I got a new Jeep a week or so ago and it did not feel quite right driving down the road… it felt like the tires were flailing around whenever I hit a bump. It also had this odd feeling as if I were turning on ice when first starting off under very slow conditions.

So after my bout with DW and my PTSD, I thought I was being paranoid and maybe this was a product of the 315’s.

I decided to check the torque on the TB, both upper and lower had about 80ftlb. I torqued it to 110 and all is good.

I think this weekend I will go around the Jeep and check those torques.

Anyone else have improper torque values on a new Jeep?

Curious too, on all the lift kits they always advise to re-check the torques after X miles. Why don’t they advise the same on new Jeeps?

Sorry but I have to ask did you test drive this Jeep before you bought it?

New Jeeps are under limited warranty and it is cheaper to deal with the few customers who complain than to service all those Jeeps
