Multi-Function Switch replacement (aka turn signal)

After hearing a few people have this issue (turn signal blinking fast) but not seeing a write up on this, I figured I would look into it and see how easy it is to replace. And it was easy.....Here is a quick write-up.

Need to buy the new part.

Next there are 3 screws on the underside of the steering column box and its a T-20......

this one is easy.

the next two are a little more of a pain. one on each side and hard to see but just stick the T-20 in the hole and screw!

Next all you need to do is pop off the box (top and bottom).

Next there is one screw in the front of the switch.

After that unclip the two wires. Yellow and White.

Next pull out the old and clip in the new one.

Then follow the steps in reverse to finish this up. So far it works but mine has always worked when I first started the car then down the road would stop working and start to blink fast....If it continues then the next option is new fluid.

That is all there is to it.

If anyone needs a MFS for a TJ, 2005ish.....let me know. I've got a brand new one in the box still.

So I am running into the same issue....I have replaced the bulbs and the switch but still the signal begins to blink fast and I lose the rear driver tail light and turn signal but the front still works....Anyone have any suggestions?
