Mounted the jack on the hood

My dad and I had some extra time this morning so we made a hood mount for the, jack ended up looking pretty good. Nothing better than spending a Sunday morning with the paps working on the Jeep.IMG_20170129_210532.jpgIMG_20170129_210539.jpgIMG_20170129_210548.jpgIMG_20170129_210554.jpg

Not gonna lie, the way you did that doesnt look all that strong. If you were to hit someone it might turn into a projectile real quick

Hope you're not planning on driving very far. That looks like it will break on the first dirt road you come across

I'm going to have to agree with these guys. I like how you did your own work but it doesn't look that sturdy. You might want to take a look at some of the designs on the market to get an idea of how to make it more structurally sound

I agree, also might want to make sure it does not interfere with the windshield washer nozzle.

Thanks for the input guys I am planning on making it strong now that you guys say that possibly mount it to both bolts on the hood hinge somehow

I know you're trying to make your own. But hi-lift actually makes a kit that replaces both bolts from each hinge with new bolts and solid brackets. Google it and check it out if you're sold on throwing that thing up on your hood.
