I'm getting ready to order my parts for my re-gear and was confused on what is all included In the master install kit compared to a normal install kit? Does anyone have any Intel on the master install kit?

Never heard of a normal install kit. Master kit will have carrier bearings and races, pinion bearings and races, adjustment shims, new ring gear bolts, locktite, pinion seal, crush sleeve, pinion nut, and marking compound.

It will not have axle bearings nor axle seals. It will not come with the gears unless specifically included.

Normal install kits do not include new pinion bearings, pinion races, or carrier bearings.

Master install kits include pinion bearings, races, AND carrier bearings.

Depending on how many miles are on the jeep, and weather or not you have the tools to remove the pressed on pinion bearings without damaging them will determine if you NEED new bearings or not. My jeep had 18k and after a bit of debate, I decided to opt for the master kits and install new pinion bearings. I didn't want to risk damaging the pinion bearings while pulling them and not have a back up plan. I did not replace the carrier/locker bearings

You can also opt for standard install kits, and locally purchase your pinion bearings seperately, then when you get to that point, if you get the bearings off and back on the new pinion without damage, return the new bearings for a refund.

Yep. I remember seeing these. Never used one just because I figure why not replace the bearings since you're in there.

Thanks for the responses. I was told my pinion bearing maybe going bad and with getting ready to regear in a few weeks there is no better time to replace Along with the ring and pinion
