Hello everybody this coming Saturday we're going to be running the second half of the Mojave Trail which is approximately 70 miles from Baker California to The river

This is going to be a one-day run we've already got two people confirmed to go we can take a total of six rigs without a permit this is not a hard-core trail it's just 70 miles long

No overnight is involved

At the far end we can all have lunch/dinner and come on back

We will be stopping by the Mojave Lave Tubes which is a spectacular photographic opportunity

Anybody who'd like to go is invited we hope to see you there we're thinking of starting at 8 AM in baker staging will begin at 7:30 AM

The trailhead is about 20 miles outside of Baker on Kelbaker Road and shortly after that I'll get to go to the Mojave Lave Tubes for picture taking and then off to the river

There are many other things to do along the trail and I'll be posting those

Aww man that would be a lot of fun I'm out this way right now in stateline but have to go to a wedding this weekend have fun. Looks like an awesome trail.

Hi All

We made the trip to the famed Mojave Trail with 3 confirmed rigs to run the approximate 70 mile leg from Baker CA to Laughlin CA and it was expected to be a long day, the weather report said a 3% chance of rain and thunderstorms in the preserve... well we struck it rich and got the 3% on us... yeiks, heave rain, hail, thunder and flask flooding and washed out shelf road... what a ride.
we actually had to use one of the 4 escape routes i had planned to make it out to Goffs, where by the way gas is $5 per gallon for regular.

here are some of the pics from the trip..

We started our leg in Running Springs at 5:12 am on the way to meet at hwy 15 and the 138 to pick up the others

Headed out to Kelbaker Road which we found blocked with Road Closed signs... yea right like that would stop us... its a Jeepers Dream
