moab trail advice

for the second year in a row i am heading out to moab for spring break in march.
last year i ran seven mile rim, metal masher, and behind the rocks and my rig handed them quite well but this year one of the rigs that will be joining us is an 08 JKU X with 2.5" lift 33s, a rear E locker, rock rails, and just stock skid plates. I am just looking for some good trail ideas that his rig can handle. He is a bit more conservative with his rig than i am but is still looking for slight challenge and a great tip as this is he first time to Moab, maybe some trails that has some good obstacles that he can try or bypass if he wishes.
I was thinking about doing seven mile rim again and maybe metal masher, what other trails should i be considering?

I like fins n things and hells revenge, both very doable in a stock rig, but still offer optional challenges for even the heavily modified.

I agree these would be good ones. 7 mile rim would be good to.

Consider running Elephant Hill in the needles district, Its not hardcore but can offer a challenge to a stock jeep. Make sure you take the short hike out to the confluence overlook it makes the whole trip worth it IMHO. Just my :twocents:

how is cliff hanger? looks like it would be a good time in my rig but not sure how a 4 door on 33s would do

How much suspension lift do you have? Cliff Hanger is fun but people in our group got hung up A LOT last year. I had 33's and my coilovers set somewhere between 3-3.5" and didn't have issues. The guys with 35's and 2" suspension lift & 1" body lift drug/got hung up on everything!

Im on a 3.5 with 37s so i would be fine im more concerned about my dad on a 2.5" and 33s especially him being a 4 door he might struggle with getting hung up on those ledges

here is a list i came up with today. If anyone has some experience on these that might be able to give a little insight on how our rigs would fair. looking for something that is doable but will give both of us a challenge so maybe obstacles with bypasses to play on
the two rigs specs are JKUR on 3.5" lift 37s and a JKUX on 2.5" lift and 33s

considering these trails
Hell's Revenge
Poison Spider Mesa
Golden Spike
7 mile rim
flat iron mesa
metal masher
elephant hill
gold bar rim
cliff hanger
moab rim
steel bender
wipe-out hill

trying to narrow down this list to 5 depending on if we try to do more than one in a day any help would be appreciated

If he has a locker you are gonna be able to do any of them as there are bypasses on a lot of the big obstactles such as on Golden Spike.

Wish I was meeting y'all out there. This was a great idea topic wise. It's helping me plan my trip to Moab next year .
