Moab March 2014

Headed out to Moab to spend a few days with my dad's group with my stock 2014 JKUR. First let me say I had a blast and learned tons. Now i can't wait for the parts to arrive to start my build. I was driving solo so most of the pictures where taken from my camera phone while driving.

Left 0 dark thirty and headed east from Dana Point, once you pass Vegas the drive is beautiful and just flew by. I made it in 11 hours.

Day 1 was Hey Joe canyon followed by some sight seeing down Long Canyon.

Day 2 was Hells Revenge

Day 3 drive home with a stop in Hesperia for the Suds and Grub, Glad I made the stop it was great meeting everyone.

Nice pics and thanks for sharing! I'll be heading out there the weekend after EJS. I've been trying to get my friend to take her stock JK out there but she is worried it won't cut it. I've been telling her she is crazy.

I was worried about the same thing. You just need to pick your trails. I will not lie Hell's Revenge is not for the faint of heart if you are still stock height. I was told I would rub on approach and exit - this wasn't a issue but I took it really slow. There are 2 small step ups that you will touch the belly but nice and slow they were no biggy, the exit of the trail you will definitely spend some time on the belly but if you go slow it was just gentle slides (lots of them :D ). I was told you can go down the way you came up by taking a bypass road near the "Tip Over Challenge" but I didn't try it, I just went down with the rest of my group. I stopped by a rental place and asked questions and what they showed me was pretty spot on so I'm sure they could help you mark a map.
