This is coming up for auction in May...it is still owned by Parnelli Jones ever since he raced it i the early '70's...and was an influence when my dad bought his '68 Bronco back in '72. Surprisingly, my wife said I can bid on it...

That would be sweet if you got it.... Definitely an investment that you could come out ahead on in the future. Also bitchin that you would own 2 of his Broncos.

I've actually gotten a lot of help directly from Mecum in registering for the auction...thanks. Still undecided as to whether to bid in person or remotely...there is a 2% auction commission difference, which for my bid level would be about $6K; ..however, from what I've read, this Bronco may be out of my price range, so spending the money on attending may be for naught. Some are saying it will go over a million (I actually don't believe that), so I'm getting info as to what the reserve will be beforehand.

Go in person but get stumbling drunk first. ;) That way you bid with emotion and not with sense. It will guarantee you come home with the Bronco (but could result in divorce papers).

I’ve paid a lot of attention over the years both mecum and Barrett Jackson. With the latest Bronco craze for the early broncos and the history behind this one I would bet it will push the 7 figure mark.

With all the other crap he has, I don’t think that would be the final straw. Either his wife is very accepting and understanding or he has a huge crank. Lol
